Ready for Transformation?

If you are unsettled in the least, then you can relate to my clients. My clients want different experiences for what lies ahead. But they don’t quite know how to make it happen.

That’s where I come in.

I’ve lived that life of not being comfortable in my own skin. I’ve been where you are and know how to move past those feelings, to put actionable steps in place towards the life you want.

The boy who stopped dancing

I was the kid who danced at every party, completely free—until self-doubt crept in. Suddenly, I was too aware, too afraid, and I stopped dancing. For years, I hid in the corners, uncomfortable in my own skin.

Eventually, I couldn’t keep living that way. I faced my fears, embraced who I was, and rebuilt my life. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. That journey brought me peace, purpose, and a mission: helping others break free from self-doubt and Own Your Awkward.

Now, as a coach, author, and speaker, I help individuals and organizations Own Your Awkward—turning insecurities into strengths, building confidence, and fostering authentic connections. Your journey is your own, but self-acceptance is universal. Let’s find your rhythm so you can step boldly into the life you were meant to live.

A lifetime of Coaching

From my time in middle school on student council to the earliest days in grocery management, I have always been leading others. I did not label it as coaching, but that’s what it was.

As my career transitioned to sales and consulting with restaurants, I fell in love with helping small businesses thrive. Their problems became my challenges to help solve. Their wins became celebrations we enjoyed together. A practice I’ve carried forward to my business today. Staying in this together!

Getting Around Grit City

Community

Tacoma is the city I have always called home. To me, the best thing about this town is the amazing community of people I get to meet and get to know every day.

Small Businesses

Nothing brings a community together like the small businesses that support our everyday needs. Any day of the week you can find me in one of them.

Artists

The artist community in Tacoma is thriving with talent in every aspect of the word. I’m honored to collaborate with and support the best our city has to offer.

Events

Events are what bring us together and I make a point to be there. Let’s meet up to get acquainted at the next local event. Follow my social media to see where I will be.

Proud to be part of great local organizations

Andy is great! He is super involved in the community and through his workshop and podcast, reaches people’s inner awkward and shows them ways to lean into their superpowers. He presents ways to prioritize and set boundaries that are easily digestible to attendees.

Andy’s a great balance of accountability & support while also being fun & laid back and we shared a lot of laughs.
My priorities became Andy’s priorities, and I would highly recommend his coaching to anyone! If you’re considering a life coach, call Andy Vargo!
